Upcoming Workshops: Local Landscape Designations Review

We are currently seeking views to find out where our important landscapes are and why they are special across North Ayrshire as part of our review of local landscape designations.

We welcome stories about the landscape and its historical associations and want to find out what landscape characteristics you most appreciate. We want to gain a better understanding of what landscapes communities value such as favourite walks, special views and other features of interest. The information gathered will help shape the content of the Local Development Plan.

As part of this engagement, the planning team are hosting a series of public workshops. The workshops will be held on the following dates:

  • 25th April, 4-6pm Ormidale Pavilion, Brodick
  • 27th April 4-6pm Clark Memorial Hall (Annex), Largs
  • 11th May 4-6pm Bridgend Community Centre, Kilbrinie
  • Attendees are encouraged to stay for the full two hours to engage with the workshop, however you are also welcome to “drop-in” if that suits you better.

The Council will also be circulating an online consultation form to collect views and opinions, please don’t worry if you can’t make the event, everyone will get a chance to share which landscapes, walks and views are important to them. The form will be published here as soon as it is available.

Please share the details of this event with anyone you please, the more views the better!

If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to get in touch by emailing LDP@north-ayrshire.gov.uk.
